My Picture March 2024.pngWelcome to my studio’s website! My name is Carrie, and I’ve been teaching piano and voice lessons to all ages since 2003. Since I was a child, I have had a great love for music, and I started singing and playing the piano when I was very young. I majored in music, early childhood education, and psychology at Wesleyan College in Macon, GA, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Music from Jacksonville University. I am a lifetime member of Mu Phi Epsilon. In addition to teaching music, I am also a staff singer at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Since my faith is very important to me, I try to incorporate it into my teaching, by providing a loving, caring environment to all of my students.

I teach both online and in-person to ages 4-adult. Online lessons are taught via FaceTime, Zoom, or Skype, and in-person lessons are taught at my home. So, I have had students across the country and around the corner, which is really wonderful! I have a special place in my heart for military families, since my father was in the Navy, so I offer a special discount to them (active duty and retired!), and to first responders (I love them, too, especially since my sister is a firefighter-paramedic!)

I have been married for 18 years, and I homeschool my two sweet children. I have a very high retention rate in my studio, I think because I’m a mom and understand kids really well. I have a special interest in kids with autism, ADHD, and SPD, and God has blessed me with the grace to teach them in the ways they need to be taught. I love having a faith-based studio, as I feel that it helps to build a camaraderie that is truly special and important. Of course, I try to be welcoming to everyone, no matter where someone is in their faith life.

My prayer is that you will be blessed with a wonderful experience in my studio! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any time with any questions or concerns. I’m always happy to help! 😊
